Self- discovery is very important. If you do not discover yourself, and know exactly what you want from life,you have no idea what you are living for.

To identify your needs,you first need to take a step back and think thoroughly.
Then, when you are in a relaxed state of mind, meditate and focus on your thoughts, feelings and desires.
Have you ever wondered what your life purpose really is? What your here on this earth for? Or, who you really are?
Firstly, Self discovery is something that is a beautiful thing to achieve. When you find yourself, you find meaning to your life. Many a time, people are so judgmental of others, when they should be looking inwardly on themselves. The actions that oneself is taking, before going and blaming everyone else around them. we subconsciously judge others and not ourselves. Self assessments are recommended to help you overcome your problems and troubles you have with your self and maybe your identity about who you really are as a person. Self assessments can be made by having someone close to you help you with this. Insight is reflected upon while indulging in a self assessment.
The first step to a definite self-assessment is to be completely and without utter abandonment, being honest with yourself.
Take a good look in the mirror and take the time to study the person you see.
Describe the person you see in the mirror using up to a total of 25 adjectives.
Consider using both positive and negative adjectives.
This exercise is important because you are being honest with yourself.
Dig deep. Allow for self-discovery.
The next step is to consider your likes and dislikes
Identify the root of your likes and dislikes.
Write down the activities you love doing.
• Which books do you enjoy reading?
• What kind of people do you surround yourself with?
• What are the activities you enjoy during your free time?
For all the answers that you give, provide an explanation.
Explore the explanations in depth. Next, you must write in a journal for a week, if you want to write in it for longer, by all means go ahead! This will help you completely let out all of your emotional baggage. The actions you have been taking throughout the course of this time, that you have been working on yourself. Write down what you feel most comfortable partaking in. What makes you happy and why. This will help you find who you truly are.
