Understanding Your Brain and Some Basic Psychology


Who are you? What makes you , you? The answer is your brain to the most extremes. Your brain in turn is made up of billions of neurons. These are small cells that have tendril like extensions reaching out and into the different corners of your skull.

These neurons can be created , destroyed or changed due to any experiences that we encounter. They represent all kinds of things such as memories, sight, smells, thoughts and the commandments to move our bodies.

When an electrical impulse moves through a neuron, this means it is firing and thus we experience whatever correlates with that firing. If you open up someone’s skull and use an electrode to stimulate individual neurons, then one might make someone see a point of red light, one might make someone move their arm, and another might make them remember their mother.

These neurons are all interconnected and the more often two neurons Fire at once, the more connected they become. Thus, when one neuron fires, it is likely that others around it will fire depending upon the strength of the firing. This is called the action potential.

Some clusters of neurons from the major brain structures, like the occipital lobe, motor cortex or the hippocampus; are responsible for particular behaviors. Other neurons reach from one end of the brain all the way to the other end of the brain.



Already you can see your brain is not entirely under your control. If you see something specific this will cause certain neurons to fire based on your memories and understanding of that object. But, it also might cause surrounding neurons to fire, depending on the associations you have formed during this lifetime.

When certain neurons Fire, they cause particular emotions. Thats because neurons communicate across synapses. Small neurons between the end of one neuron ( the axon which is the tail) and the dendrites like arms of another.

At the end of each axon , is the synaptic knob. This is filled with chemicals called neurotransmitters, held inside neuro- vesicles. When the synapse fires, it causes these neurotransmitters to be released and that then alters the behaviors of the transmission and the surrounding cells.

Some neurotransmitters are excitatory, and make other neurons more likely to fire. Others are inhibitory and make them less likely to fire and become more suppressed.

Neurotransmitters are linked closely with hormones as well. Some hormones act like neurotransmitters while some neurotransmitters act like hormones. Essentially, hormones are longer lasting and generally produced in the body. While, neurotransmitters have shorter lasting effects and are produced in the brain. Even the hormones produced in the body though, are largely triggered by the pituitary glands. This is located in the brain.

An example is a lion , and your brain will sit up and take notice owing to the associations you begin forming with that image. Relevant neurons will fire, and because those neurons are coded with danger, they will release a number of neurotransmitters that will release dopamine and cortisol that will increase activity and say that something important is happening.

This increased activity , causes more of the brain to light up and areas around the hypothalamus will then begin to trigger activity to the pituitary glands. Producing adrenocorticotrophic hormones. The adrenal gland will also be triggered at this point, releasing the hormone epinephrine. This is essentially a form of adrenaline. This is then the set of changes that it causes in the sympathetic nervous system:

The triggers of psychological changes include:

The acceleration of the heart and lungs

Vasoconstriction- the thinning of the blood vessels

Dilation of the blood vessels leading to the muscles

Dilation of the pupils

Inhibition of erection

Sense of dread and anxiety

Tunnel vision

Pain reduction

Thickening of the blood to encourage clotting after injury

Shaking

Contraction of the muscles

Suppression of digestion and immune function

Essentially, the body now directs all blood, oxygen , nutrients and resources to the muscles and the brain. In order to aid in combat or other physical activities. There are many complex interactions of chemicals and hormones going on inside your body all of the time.

Desire is an Essential Aspect to Everyone’s Life- Accepting that their will be bumps in the road

Desire is an essential and inevitable aspect of everyone’s life. There is an inner desire for perfection. The perfection of each passing day of our lives, the perfection of our relationships and our professions. If your mind revolves around a thought such as “ I am born to have a perfect life, I possess everything I need and acquire whatever I wish to do.” Well then, your off to a good start. You begin planning things accordingly. We start working towards the fulfillment of our so called desires. We start living our assumingely perfect life.

We start ignoring petty issues , which can be taken care of in the future. Why spoil the present , in thinking about the future? You say; I have a perfect life now, I can’t afford to ruin it. So, is this thought process incorrect or would you rather say imperfect with an imperfect dreamer lifestyle.

If you believe that you live in this dream life but you don’t, your not living in reality and therefore people might think that you begin to act like your never going to get it together. Unwanted emotions begin to enter your life. Fear, anxiety, disappointment.

Number 1- accept that their will be bumps in the road. Many people that are stuck in perfect situations are actually fearful of making mistakes and or failing. So many of us want our children to be perfectly happy. However, if we want our kids to be perfectly happy, then we must be comfortable with them making mistakes. We must make them able to rise to challenges when they occur.

This comes with practice, patience, bumps in the road, teaching moments, do overs and so on. They must be able to make mistakes and rise to the challenges. Recognizing and celebrating successes when they come are also a great thing to do , to celebrate their success is also your success!

If you dream of your young girl or boy to find their voice, being honest , open minded, empathetic, caring, helpful, understanding, and the likes; being perfect is not going to get her there. She or he must experience some mistakes and failures to practice these qualities to drive her forward towards success.

Remember , never let your mistakes stop you from moving forward. When we are perfectly imperfect we get the chance to Do Over, and do overs allow us to start fresh again. Realizing that you are simply you and that you are not in competition with anyone but yourself is a first step!

Let go of the overwhelming tendency to compare yourself with others. Throw out the words perfect or as good as and start with I am. Decide to celebrate who you are and what you are good at. What do you contribute to the world and the surrounding environment around you? When you do this people will follow your lead because they will see how great YOU are!

The Perfect Imperfections

To see the world and ourselves as the perfect expression of our true nature, is to see the imperfect perfectly. The mind feels it must be worthy, and we must be fully awaken before we can see the truths about what is within us.

When we simply stop trying to arrive somewhere , other then where we are, we can sense the truth of our being right now. We can appreciate the beauty of this very moment as it is, and as it should be.

Many minds strive for perfection. There is nothing wrong with the movement of the mind. However the moving mind is usually striving for this perfection because it imagines it needs perfection in order to be happy. Or even better, to be worthy of love. Have you noticed that holding onto these limiting beliefs begins to create suffering ?

When we look here right now, there is something in the depths of our own being, that sees beauty in the moment exactly as it is. The beauty of enjoying this moment for the sheer movement of life itself.

To live on planet earth, we experience a mere number of contradictory emotions. We also experience a vast amount of imperfect moments. Yet, when we see a photograph of our world from outer space , we do not see an imperfect world. Rather , it is stunningly beautiful.

When we realize the truths of who we are, many things may begin to transform within us, also around us. Not because of the mind having a project to change anything for us; but, because it is the spontaneous movement of the truth within us. When we are simply being. The touch of awakened beings , us, transforms this experience.

If we do not come to terms with our imperfections, we risk having a perpetually imperfect unsatisfied existence. Instead of staying still and experiencing the combinations of traits that we are, we can quite easily fall into the trap of being in constant motion. This would mean not knowing what we are searching for and consequently not being able to find it.

You’ve seen these types of people before, they are great at a lot of things but they are always stuck in a rut and are always so restless.

People who have acquired a lot but never seem to enjoy it because they always want the latter, something more than they already have.

Sadly, these people I’m talking about might be you and I. Who knows ? To break out of this mindset to know the real truth, we have to realize that we are not trophy cabinets , it’s not all of the materialized things that we own or have, it’s your drive and your motive that moves you. Your intuition and your instinct that guide you! You are you and that is what you begin and end with.

Fear and how to deal with it , recognize you control your responses

Fear begins with a thought 💭. Whatever we think repeatedly becomes a part of us. The scripture says “As he thinks in his heart, he shall become.” If you allow fearful thoughts to come into your heart and mind, you will have those fearful thoughts. They will begin to control how you act.

It is true that as an example, if you are so interested in something that it is all you think about, most likely it will become your overall life aka career and hobby. Or at least one of your main hobbies. You could be great at a lot of things, however; this is losing the point of how we overcome fear, and how to deal with it. We need to guard our minds, choosing carefully which thoughts we accept and reject.

In the trials of life, you decide what your responses will be , no one else can do that for you. When you panic you have two choices either to calm down or to have an anxiety attack. Now, to panic means you are overcome by sudden fear. However, you are not able to overcome this, you overcame it already, because you are a strong courageous individual.

Instead you stay the course, you meet fear face to face. This is because you can’t conquer what you can not control and or confrontational innuendoes.

Crystals

Crystals also known as crystalline solids , are solid materials that are arranged in a sequential pattern in three spatial dimensions. Large crystals are often recognized through their macroscopic geometrical style these come with flat faces and unique characteristics. Though most people like crystals, some are not fully aware of their healing powers.

Crystals bring light and color to your overall aura and physical body. They do this through the chakra system and subtle body layers. They are used in a certain grid like pattern that is sacred in geometry. These grids generate pillars of light, exposing the body to multi-dimensional energies which creates understanding and a certain awareness.

Crystal therapy is known as a prehistoric art, of the laying of the stones. Stones, crystals and gems are laid on the body, over the chakra points. Every chakra resonates with a certain color and the chakras align and mix with one another.

Automatic Reactions Leading you to repeat the same patterns

To restore your centered self back to balance, it is an immense journey to take on. You will have to face your fears, your flaws ECT. You have them and so do we all.

Along the way , you will deal with the subconscious program of your past regression. It is best that you let go of the automatic Reactions that come with that. These would be your face ingrained habits.

Making a claim for your freedom is tumultuously hard. However, hang on a little tighter, lean in alittle closer and let’s begin this journey together.

Be open, be curious, be non defensive and definitely non judgement of yourself and others. Your tribal cycle, which deflects upon your biology, your psychology, and the myriad of experiences you have pertained in. This is the stuff you were exposed to when growing up. Whether it was in your community, your schooling, the messages from your media presence online.

The tribe is your family origin, it is the patterns of thoughts and behavior that your family engaged in, represent ingrained your tribal cycle. What this is , is the tribe is what shaped you , impacted you throughout life into your adult life and generally what carried you into adulthood.

Your tribe are people that impacted you, influenced and shaped you into who you are today. They may have been your parents, a particular parent , a foster parent, a sibling, a friend, a teacher , a priest. Whatever the case might be, the events and experiences you had with them molded you into who you are. Whether positive or negative.

Regardless of whether you were raised with a family that was highly functional or barely functioning, the goal was the reduction of tension , balance, stability and happiness.

No matter who you are or how you were raised, you grew up in a family where the entire feild of energy impacted every single member of your family. Whether its good or bad , it could be great or totally the opposite. What matters is you were a child. Growing up in this family Dynamic.

Perhaps your thoughts, feelings and your perceptions were ignored or criticized , mocked even , maybe you were molested or abused. The point is to not blame anyone , don’t be shameful and disregarded.

The number one block to our own well being, is that we don’t recognize or acknowledge that we are caught into a tribal cycle aka our family or our upbringing.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is an energetic foot therapy, that requires work on the feet and the reflex points. These reflect on specific areas of the body. The reflect points represent specific areas of the body itself as well as the organs and the glands. The reflexing of these specific areas creates a euphoric feeling consisting of relaxation.

Reflexologists work from the toes to the feet, heels, via a slow gentle progression reflexing the sides and the soles and then the tops of the feet. They also will work through points on the lower legs. These areas being worked allow the receiver, to feel an immediate stress reliever. The receiver learns that letting go, is the functioning tool to accomplishing this level of relaxation.

In ancient history, many cultures used healing the feel as a means for healing the entire body. Reflexology in Egypt- In Egypt, during the process of mummification they removed the souls from the feet that was known to free the soul to travel beyond the earthly planes into the astral planes.

In china, writings, as old as the fourth B.C, began to speak out on a therapy where pressure became applied to the fingers, feet , hands and ears.  (that was later called acupuncture)  Shogo Mochozuki- author and educator, tells us that in japan you can hear the proverb ” the foot is the gate of ten thousand different illnesses. The proverb illustrating the journey of reflexology, the ancient art was called over from china to japan. The Bible also mentions feet as a way of healing and to wash the feet of another was a symbol of humility and forgiveness.

We all have Stories of Why We make up Excuses

We all have stories about things that might be wrong with us, our lives, and then the world of course and how we are perceived by the world. However, you story could be about many things. Your relationships with others, your career, you health, your lack of money, your gain of income although its not making your superficially happy, your family, your children, whatever the case might be, it might be any place you feel stuck, frustrated or defeated.

Your stories begin by telling yourself why you cant , have, achieve or do anything. Even experience certain things. It is this stuff that you have convinced yourself to be self evident. This is without really challenging that idea. This is the subconscious or unconscious bias that you have had towards an area of your life for awhile, your ruminating on it. However, you begin to accept it or have accepted it without anyones concern.

Stories often come up from your past, your memories, your tribes. Perhaps, you experienced some upsetting events as a child. You might have seen some side of your parents that left you feeling vulnerable, uncanny, or undervalued. Disturbing experiences become chemically supercharged in your brain, such as the fight or flight response.

The key is to wake up and really that you are in charge of your mind, your body and not the other way around. You get to decide what your mind feeds you on a daily basis. It wants to keep persisting with the same stories from when you were a child, because that is how it was for you many years ago. This was due to too much overwhelm, or feeling invaluable, or from being afraid. This then took your brain into a thing we call “protective overdrive.”

However, now you can protect yourself, your brain does not know this, because you have let it run your show. The campaign to take back your mind is the most vital campaign you will ever need to engage in. The you who is willing, awake and aware to take back your mind, knows better than anyone. There is no why you cant do it, only how you can. Treat yourself with self respect, compassion, kindness and tenderness.

Everything That You Perceive, Think, Feel and Focus on changes your Brain

Whatever you focus on , care about and or worry or obsess about becomes the more prominent neurological factor in your brain. Furthermore , everything that you think, feel, decide , do or do not do changes your brain. This is whether you want it to or not.

Then, your default reaction becomes whatever is locked in your mind at that generated interval of time. Then, sometimes you just can’t turn that burning switch off. This is if you don’t take

Your brain does not develop strong synapses which are pathways to experiencing full emotion, unless it begins to see something habitually forming. what you do constantly is what will become wired into your brain neurologically.

Connections that are less active will receive less nerve growth. In turn, your nerves will begin to deteriorate. This is kind of like the idea of plants that don’t have enough fertilizer or water based in them on a daily basis.

When you contemplate on your sufferings, especially your past vulnerability; that you can’t prevent because it already happened. This causes the brain to increasingly focus on the suffering and the pain.

If you rely on the automatic reactions that are embedded in your habitual brain, aka the subconscious mind frame. This therefore, will help you react automatically to new events, new ideas, new pleasures, even if this reaction is denying you in some aspects.

If you train your brain to think about some hurt from the past, it will stay there. This isn’t about ignoring our past, it’s about ignoring the suffering that comes along with our past. What is within your power to change this in order to live to your fullest potential. Cultivate the actions that will move you toward the life that you want. This is by questioning these automatic response actions and turning them into positive thoughts.

You can’t live consciously thinking about your past. Your injustices done to you are done, leave them in the past. If you do you will become miserable. You will feel victimized by yourself, it won’t make you a great life because it can’t and never will.

Whatever you focus on becomes ingrained in your brain and makes your neurologically stronger. You can reshape your brain to respond to whatever it is that you want it to.

Wire your brain right now, know that you have choices in this life and that tomorrow is a new day. Even today, lets start on your new life, learn how to rewire your subconscious mind for its attainment.

What it is and how it’s Possible to Live Consciously

It’s understanding that these smallest moments that we encounter will shape your path. Deliberately responding to a life note so then nearly reacting to it.

How you support yourself in challenging times. How you acquire and care for your living space, all of these small moments add up to the day that you are having.

This then therefore becomes the total of you week, your month and then your yearly activities. It all matters because it is your life!

Consciously living doesn’t arrive by chance, it doesn’t arrive because some time has passed by. It begins with the efforts and decisions you make each and every moment. This will then move you towards your empowered life.

When you begin to move out of those same patterns of behavior, that you created for yourself over and over again; you embrace your conscious choices. This is the path to your own centered belief system. Even if this path begins to turn you away from what you thought you should have been doing.

You begin to become aware of the aspects that your truth holds , which debilitate you to move forward in the right directions.

You begin developing new ways of responding to your world around you. This is expressed and aligned with the truest version of your own self.

You begin to seek new choices and new paths to self expressionism. Your mission now is to seek help and find people who will help you along this journey to express yourself.

You begin to feel comfortable with expressing who you are and you embrace that taking care of yourself is your number one priority. You now have patience and empathy for yourself.

When you are unaware of everything, it means to be living in a conditioned state that allows you to live in impulse. This is to live according to your conditioning of your past. Maybe because you haven’t switched the subconscious blue prints just yet. You begin to hide from intimacy in relationships or with friends and you are very vunerable so even if per say someone dangerous to your well being came around, you would befriend that person.

You need to embrace and love yourself , consciously living is to find the journey of discovering the best you , to value, to love and to restore your true self to the world and most importantly to yourself.

You are not free of control here, so everyone who is a control freak do not worry! It states that you are aware of its powers and practices and it gives and it releases yourself from it’s constrains.

Accepting others with sympathy and understanding , and extending these people with self respect , morale and decency.

You will do this for you , not for anyone else. How you respond to others to is to be awake and alive not that your responsibility to them is you own, that your self righteousness steps up in helping people when they are down or need a hand.

Recognize, pursue, try to develop, work hard at it, support, recommend, and value highly and hold dear the people that love you. As well as knowing that each of us seems to live a life that’s as true to our expressionist selves as we perhaps can.
