Going Your Own Way and Doing Your Own Thing!

  • The principle of going your own way and doing your own thing is the principle of non- intervention. This principle is lived by those who have an enlightened consciousness. The principle is the principle of freedom. You are free from having to meddle with the affairs of others, and are free to live according to your own goals and agenda. Every man’s purpose is to follow his own path and only engage with the affairs of others where it intersects with his path. Always live in the center and never move off the center.

  • Seek to relate with those who can best fulfill your life purpose. You have no business to relate with everyone in the world. Successful people are the ones who concentrate on their goals and harness all their resources towards the accomplishment of their aims. This might be the selfish way to live, but it is selfishness with wisdom.
  • Everything is done for the Higher Self, and the Higher Self leads you by desires within yourself. No matter how noble something seems, it never feels right when it is not your life path.

  • Paul understood unity, and he knew he could only be effective in ministry as long as he was in one accord with his fellow workers. He understood that God remains in the midst of those who are in agreement, and who strive to keep peace with one another. If it be possible, live peaceably with all men. Solomon had the greatest successes and riches in the world partly because he was able to have peace on every side through the wisdom of God. Aim to resolve disputes quickly and create the least conflicts.

  • Sometimes it may be confusing to discern whether you harbor unforgiveness against someone or not. For example, someone repeatedly delivers the same offense over and over to you, and you’ve just grown weary of it. Since this is causing ill feelings, does this mean you’re harboring unforgiveness? Not necessarily. The negative feelings you feel are for the purpose of showing you that something is not in alignment for your greatest good. It is meant to be used as pain to push you away from harmful things.

  • Sometimes you may simply have to separate yourself from the offending person in order to keep peace and to keep your own sanity. You can still pray for that person, wish him or her the best, and maybe even do a good deed once in a while. There just comes a point where enough is enough, and you’ll need to use wisdom by disassociating yourself from the offender and love him or her from a distance. This is called disassociation and it is different from bearing a grudge. It is to act with wisdom.

  • It’s easy to gossip, complain about, and criticize someone who is gossiping, complaining, and criticizing. The many differences in people can very easily cause gossip and criticism. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 4:11: “Aspire to lead a quiet life and mind your own business.” This is an extremely wise saying. The preceding verse says that you are to “increase more and more.” In it contains the secret of prosperity which is to have a peace and to focus on doing your own thing. Waste no time and energy.

  • Do not get caught up into the drama, conflict and nonsense with other people. You must understand that everyone creates their own reality, and when you engage with them, you will get affected by their creations whether positive or negative. You must also understand that the majority of people possess lower level of consciousness and create according to that level. Therefore as a person of higher consciousness, you must leave others to their own creations and let them play at the level they had chosen.

  • If a wise man contends with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest. Therefore the best thing for a wise man to do is to say what is needed to be said and realize when further argument is pointless. Do not cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample on them and turn on you and tear you to pieces.
  • After awakening from the illusion of reality, you may feel like going around to awaken others up as well. But most people will fight to remain asleep. It is wise to just progress on your way.
Create the space necessary for your success. Spiritual purity is an energy thing. The real truth about holiness and sanctification is to prevent your energy field from being tainted by negative energy as much as possible. Holiness is Wholly-ness.
  • When you can keep your consciousness whole and complete, you can manifest wholeness in your life. The Hebrew word for peace in the Bible is Shalom, which means wholeness. Holiness or Wholly-ness of consciousness brings prosperity, health and happiness.

  • Seek to move your life more and more to a place of quietness and freedom to focus on doing your own business. Start relating less and less with people who cause you trouble or seem to keep creating lots of trouble in their lives. Success and spiritual purity demands Ruthlessness. This means there is no room for pity and sympathy. You can empathize and love others, but you must not pity them. This causes you to view them with a perception of weakness.
  • You must respect the choices they have made.

  • People choose to create the drama, conflict and nonsense in their lives. If they choose otherwise, they can create a different reality. No one can change the reality of one who has a victim mentality. The only way for others to change their conditions is to change their mindsets about themselves. You are not here to help others primarily. You are here to simply live, and if in the process of doing so you help others, then that is great. Seek to create the space for your own creation. This is the way to be free.
