There is a puzzle of life that once solved, will solve all other puzzles of life. Have you ever wondered why something seems true one moment and then not true in another moment? Have you ever wondered why truth has different effects for different people and at different times? When up becomes down and right becomes wrong, life can be very confusing. In the realm of the relative, everything is in constant flux. That is why we need a definite measure that we can stand upon and the measure is the absolute.
God gave us his Word so that we may have a firm foundation to stand on. The more one becomes skilled in the Word, the more they are able to understand life and handle it. All God’s word is spirit and they’re life. The master puzzle of life is actually mentioned by the Son of God himself. It’s called the parable of the sower. It is the parable of all parables.
Jesus said “Do you not know this parable? Otherwise how then will you know all parables?”
This means that the parable of the sower is the Master Parable. Knowing this parable will enable you to have workability with all other parables. Jesus said “Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without understanding, all these things are done in parables.” All parables are about the kingdom of God, and the kingdom of God includes all things pertaining to life itself.
The parable of the sower is that there are four kinds of ground and a sower sows the seed. The seeds fall upon the four kinds of ground which are the wayside, the stony ground, ground with thorns and finally the good ground. Regarding the seeds that fell on the wayside, the birds of the air came and devoured it up. The seeds that fell on stony ground immediately sprouted, because it had no depth of earth to develop first. When the sun was up, it was scorched and because it had no root, it withered away.
As for the seeds that fell among thorns, the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. Finally those that fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. Jesus explained the parable that the seed being sown was the Word of God and the ground was the heart of the people. Regarding the wayside heart, after hearing the word Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
As for the thorn filled heart, the thorn represents the cares of this world, the illusion of get rich quick schemes and the distraction of other desires that enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Worry and worldly pursuits would take your attention away and prevent you from concentrating on the Word. The great secret of power is concentration, and if you want the power of the Word, you must not let worry or other goals divide your focus. Focus on divine truth above all opposing and lesser ideas.
Now most of us tend to understand the wayside and thorny ground, but it is the stony ground that is the biggest issue. Regarding the word sown on stony ground; those who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with immense joy; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for AWHILE: afterward, when TROUBLE or persecution arises FOR THE WORD’S SAKE, immediately they are OFFENDED (Made displeased, indignant and caused to fall away). Does that sound very common?
NOW we have the reason why truth seems to be inconsistent in our lives. We believe something to be true for awhile and then at other times, the truth seems to fail and then we question whether what we believe is really true or not. Now GOD has given you the ANSWER in his Master Parable. All His other truths in His other parables will not work for you completely until you know this truth in this parable. Trouble happens FOR THE WORD’S SAKE. It is either Satan attacking or the world testing the Word.
It is ok to question your beliefs and refine them when they clearly don’t seem to work after enough time. But do not be IMMEDIATELY offended or caused to stumble when you face some trouble after having believed in a truth. Be the good ground which is you with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, KEEP it, and bring forth fruit with PATIENCE.
- He who endures to the end shall be saved. Persistence and perseverance is the key to overcoming temporal fluctuations in life and bearing complete fruit.
Does it seem like the sickness becomes worse after having believed the word of healing for it? Does it seem like you lose more money after having believed the word for financial increase? Does it seem like more bad things happen instead when you believe the word for God’s goodness?
- Remember that it happens BECAUSE you are now believing the truth, and the lie is fighting one last battle against it. Once you stick to the truth, the darkness will eventually clear and the light will shine brighter than before.
Jesus said Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. If you want to live life with absolute stability of truth, you must live by faith in the word of God.
